Clearwater Beach Condominium Kitchen Remodel

Introduction

Known for its white sand beaches along the Gulf of Mexico, Clearwater Beach is a favorite area for seasonal residents getting a reprieve from their colder northern homes. With shopping, restaurants and water activities like jet ski rentals and boat tours, it’s no surprise that Clearwater Beach has been named best beach town by USA Today.

The  Story

As new owners of a beautiful beachfront condominium on the 11th floor, the family wanted to update the kitchen, including the floor and countertop. Working with Alice Alexander, Allied ASID, of White Lion Design Tampa, the family specifically wanted to remodel the condo with minimal demolition and time. “This is their winter home, and they wanted their time in the condo during the project to have minimal disruption,” explained Alexander.

To ease the demo timeline, Alexander recommended Crossville Porcelain Tile Panels by Laminam for the kitchen floor. These innovative panels are huge—a single 1 x 3 meter panel can cover up to 30 square feet, resulting in a seamless look thanks to fewer grout lines. But it’s the thickness, measured in mere millimeters, that gives these tiles the unique ability to be laid over existing tile surfaces. This trait offers a big advantage for renovation projects as it eliminates the need for demolition and removal of the old material, reduces the labor involved, contains cost, and minimizes construction waste.

Alexander specified Crossville’s I Naturali porcelain tile panels in the Statuario Venato Matte colorway to be applied throughout the kitchen floors creating a pattern with the large panels cut by the tile installers.
