Find Inspiration with Crossville’s 2018 Color Trend Look Book

January 4, 2018

Have you heard? Black is the new black. That’s right! As we forecast color trends for the new year, we’re finding that black is back—in full and beautiful force. As a matter of fact, we’re taking you to the dark side in our 2018 Color Trend Look Book.

With black as the backbone, 2018’s bold palette is aligned to offer a stunning, sophisticated chapter for commercial and residential design in the coming year. Black, and its many variations, offers endless design possibilities, working beautifully alone and playing extremely well with others. It’s a classic that will always stand the test of time. We’re proud to offer our take on the palette that offers romance, balance, and texture in the flawless performance of porcelain tile, stone, and gauged porcelain tile panels. Here’s a look at some of our products that bring bold energy to the spaces you live, work, and play.

We love the color black and try to use a little bit of it in every room we design. It acts like a neutral because it basically goes with anything. Black looks amazing even by itself. It really never goes out of style. ~ Lance M. Jackson, President/Creative Director, Parker Kennedy Living

Taking its inspiration from nomadic, spirited cultures, Crossville’s latest line of fabric-finish tile makes an impression in boho-chic style. Bohemia,  shown here in the Wanderer colorway offers an unapologetic, fresh-take on texture.

I see dark, moody colors as a big trend for 2018. It’s glamorous, sexy, and a little dangerous. Sophisticated, dark colors are gorgeous in jewel box powder rooms and dramatic dining rooms when paired with high gloss trim and warm brass light fixtures. ~Marlaina Teich, Interior Designer, Marlaina Teich Designs.

With looks as good as natural stone delivered straight from the quarry, our Cava in Noir Desir is dark, dramatic, and sophisticated.

Where we want an accent color such as a front door or a fireplace, variations of black will be perfect. It provides a punch to the space. It is timeless. ~ Miyuki Yamaguchi, Owner-principal, Miyuki Yamaguchi Design Studio

The soft, earthen tones of Bluestone  in Vermont Black ground practically any space. The subtle shell-like glints and fossil-inspired impressions of hint at the landscapes of our past to showcase timeless design.

Our team has said that navy blue is the color of the decade since 2010. This year’s color of the year selections have really proven that to be true in a variety of innovative takes on the hue. ~ Kerrie Kelly, Creative Director, Kerrie Kelly Design Lab

Inspired by “The Paris of South America,” Buenos Aires Mood in Malbec is infused with striking color, touchable texture, and sensuous movement as it dances between modern and mythic, urban and earthy.
