Crossville Presents Four Global Design Trends: Exploring the Bright and Bold Trend

With the recent launch of our annual Design Trends Look Book, we wanted to dig a little deeper into each of the four global trends and how Crossville tile collections answer these trends in interior environments.

Let’s look at the Bright and Bold trend grounded in the 1970s by providing not only nostalgia and comfort but also creativity and play with lots of glossy, bold, and bright hues. Style goes prismatic—optimistic in color, eclectic in pattern, liberal in mix of materials.

So, why are we going back to the 1970s? Not for the avocado refrigerators. But more importantly, people, especially Generation Xers, can look to this time frame and feel a little bit of grounding in times of uncertainty, which we certainly had the last year. The other thing reflected from this era is a lot of play, and who doesn’t need some play. Through this design trend, we’re seeing optimism, a lot of joy and a little bit of rebellion.

From bold patterns to shiny hammered glass, check out these tile reflections of the Bright and Bold design trend.
