Although most of the showhouse is low-key, natural and subdued, the guest bathroom injects the home with a surprise combination of graphics and shapes that make the small space very extinct. The tones in the guest bath reflect the natural colors throughout the rest of the property, yet interior designer Mary Evelyn McKee added a fun style with the union of unique materials.
The lively wallpaper featuring painted strokes in lines, zig zags, and chevrons in beautiful goldenrod and gray coordinates with a bold blend of Crossville tile collections. Our Altered State in Steel Gaze for the floor picks up natural blues and browns with a metallic flare. The selections of our Handwritten mosaic tile, with its nuanced look of handmade artisanal tile, on the shower walls punctuate the entire design of the bath. Working closely with the tile installer, the design team created a custom pattern of 3” x 6” gothic picket and leaf mosaic tiles in the stunning Inkwell hue, pulling in a dark blue among the neutrals. On the shower floor, McKee chose Crossville’s Yin + Yang in Lotus Blossom finish the shower in a stunning blend of soft neutrals.
