Color Trend Alert – Blues with Violet-Red Undertones Dominate

The Color Marketing Group predicted in 2020 that the color trend for early 2022 would encompass the blue hues with violet and red undertones, and recently chose New Day in its latest color alert. We’re already seeing these colors being fully embraced by the fashion and design communities, especially since Pantone announced its 2022 Color of the Year as Very Peri (Pantone 17-3938).
The color tones associated with these palettes encourage creativity, invite calmness, and offer a dynamic presence. Both New Day and Very Peri can be considered a color-bridge tone as they can be utilized as a solid color or featured and as a special effect.
