The Culture of Crossville Transcript

Greg Mather: When I hear people talk about Crossville, I hear them talk about wanting to work with a company that takes care of them, and helps make them successful.

Lindsey Waldrep: You’re not alone, you’ve got a support system here at work that really cares about you.

Terri Marion: You know, I knew I would be joining a company that was innovative and a leader, but I kind of took the company culture information that they gave me with a grain of sand, because I’ve worked in organizations where they talk one game and they do another. I was really surprised to find out that people treat each other with integrity, with respect.

Lindsey Waldrep: If you’re used to having been just a number, just getting your paycheck, you’re now in an environment where people know your name, people know about your family. People ask you about that. I travel quite a bit for my job and when I come back people will say, “I missed you. Where have you been? What happened?” And so it goes beyond just sitting up here on the plateau in Crossville, Tennessee, but even out through our distribution, whether it’s company owned or not.

Chris Lombardo: The culture is very much family, and I don’t know if you know this or not, but we have five core values that every transaction is supposed to abide by. And that’s, FRIIP, is the way I remember it. Family, Respect, Integrity, Improvement, and Partnership. And the partnership of course is with our suppliers. And that means doing the right thing.

Lindsey Waldrep: We consider ourselves not just a family within the company, but a family within the industry, and we’re always reaching out to our industry partners, whether that is an installer, or a setting materials company, or a distributor, to try and figure out ways to do things better.

Greg Mather: Obviously, we’re all about partnership and respect and continuous improvement and working together to really make a difference.
