Florida Residential Bathroom Remodel
Palm Beach Gardens, Florida | February 10, 2023
Introduction
Palm Beach Gardens is an area well known for retirees and “snowbirds” in Florida. Just north of West Palm Beach, the area boasts an average sunny temperature of 74 degrees, making it ideal for golfers. When the Goldmans from Pennsylvania purchased their golf course villa in Palm Beach Gardens 25 years ago, their first update was flooring sourced through D&B Tile Distributors.
This past fall when the Goldmans returned to Florida, it was time to update one of the bathrooms, and Jeri Goldman returned to D&B Tile for assistance. Walking through their vast showroom, Mrs. Goldman was able to narrow her choices to exactly the style and type of materials she desired in the renovated space. She specifically wanted a full wall of display tile that did not have a horizontal border. As she browsed the showroom, she found a bathroom vignette with just the dimensional tile she had in mind.
The Story
Working with Jessica at D&B Tile, Mrs. Goldman said, “I want that wall! We just need to find some grey to go with it. I was absolutely sure I wanted the white tile. I was told that Crossville has a large plant in Tennessee. D&B shows quality tile from the United States. I like to buy American products.”
On the back wall in the shower, the Goldmans chose Crossville’s Simpatico Cube wall tile in white with diagonal accents in Crossville’s Shades in Mist. Crossville’s Simpatico collection offers dimensional wall tiles that add texture and shape to every project. Simpatico is the feature of the Goldmans’ new bathroom as it lines not only the shower walls but also wainscots the other walls and provides a backsplash to the vanity. Mixing in Crossville’s Shades collection added the sophisticated grey tone and the honed finish provided just the touch of glam to coordinate with Simpatico’s gloss.
Regarding the renovations, Mrs. Goldman explained, “It was easy and fast, and I got exactly what I wanted for my bathroom remodel. I was going to pay for extra tile because of the diagonal design. I was willing to do it and was able to stay within my budget. My budget was exactly what I spent.”
Conclusion
In addition to the tile selections, the Goldmans completely updated the bathroom design with a zero-threshold walk-in shower instead of the old tub, installed a new floating vanity and added heating to the floor, all sourced through D&B. The result? The Goldmans are now enjoying a bathroom that is supremely stylish while also being extremely functional and well-designed.
