Tiled and Styled: Exploring the Coverings Top 10 Tile Trends

April 24, 2024

Each year, Coverings, North America’s leading tile and stone exhibition, announces the top ten tile trends for the year in celebration of Nation Tile Day. The day shines a spotlight on the benefit of tile in residential and commercial design and celebrates the timeless role it has played in architecture and design. The latest and most popular tile trends for this year have been identified by Coverings’ leading sponsors and three major tile associations. These associations are Ceramics of Italy/Confindustria Ceramica, Ceramic Tile Manufacturers Association of Spain (ASCER)/Tile of Spain, and Tile Council of North America (TCNA). They have come together to showcase the most fashionable and in-demand tile designs from all over the world.

Alena Capra, a renowned figure in the design world, owner of Alena Capra Designs, and Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer, collaborated with leading tile associations to provide expert insights into predicting Coverings 2024’s tile trends.

“The Coverings 2024 tile trends deliver a totally fresh perspective on ceramic tile’s versatility and beauty, providing architects, designers, and other tile professionals with a groundbreaking reimagination of tile’s unified functional and aesthetic possibilities,” said Capra. “National Tile Day, however, is not just about getting a first look at the cutting-edge trends shaping design; it is also about uniting industry professionals from around the world for a collective tribute to the timeless artistry and long-enduring benefits that ceramic tile brings to our creative endeavors.” (Coverings press release)

Capra, in conjunction with a panel of esteemed tile industry experts, unveiled the latest global tile trends at Coverings 2024. The presentation, titled ‘Global Tile Trends,’ offered a comprehensive exploration of the newest tile trends, accompanied by captivating photography that showcased a diverse array of indoor and outdoor tile applications.

The visual richness of their textures, nuances and details are maintained and paired with the practicality of ceramic.” — Coverings
