State of Grace Porcelain Tile — A Designer Favorite
Our State of Grace porcelain tile collection has been a designer favorite for years. It’s a popular go-to collection for luxury bathrooms — and for good reasons. This sophisticated tile line boasts nuanced, marble-inspired graphics, realistically capturing marble’s beloved gray veining interwoven with delicate black and brown tones. State of Grace brings the refined, graceful look of rare marbles to any space yet offers easier maintenance and eliminates worries of staining and chipping that are common when using natural stone.
Vast Design Possibilities
There’s no denying State of Grace’s beautiful aesthetics, but there’s more to this tile line than meets the eye. The porcelain tile collection comes in just one color, aptly named “State of Grace.” But open the product page, and you’ll find a vast array of tile shapes, sizes, and trims (twenty-five to be exact!) in both polished and unpolished finishes. The various porcelain tile pieces mix and match to create luxurious, cohesive designs.
Expand Your Design Focus With State of Grace Porcelain Countertops
To expand the State of Grace line even further, we now offer State of Grace porcelain slabs in both polished and unpolished finishes, perfect for kitchen countertops and bathroom vanities. These 12mm thick pure porcelain slabs are popular with residential interior designers and homeowners as a beautiful, durable, and easy-to-maintain alternative to other countertop materials, such as natural or engineered stone products. Whereas other countertop materials may stain, crack, or yellow, these 100% porcelain countertops excel, performing beautifully for the longterm.
Sustainable Tiles for Responsible Deisgn
And last but not least, State of Grace floor and wall tiles are carefully and sustainably manufactured right here on U.S. soil, and the collection is Green Squared certified. (Learn more about Crossville’s sustainability initiatives here.)
A Luxury Bathroom Design Story with State of Grace Porcelain Tile
The Bathroom Designer
Talented interior designer Diane Gordon (owner and lead designer of Diane Gordon Design) is known for her exquisite remodeling projects throughout Denver’s upscale residential areas. Diane draws on both her interior design and architecture backgrounds to realize her clients’ remodeling dreams. Her design projects encompass kitchen and bath remodeling, historic renovations, and basement finishing.
The Design Challenge
A recent primary bathroom remodel project presented at the start with a range of design problems: the space was originally laid out with a double vanity that wasn’t functional, a too-large deck-style tub under a window, and a skinny shower behind the entry door.
The Design Solution
Diane and her team went to work on redesigning the entire bathroom. They were able to steal some space from a very large walk-in closet to relocate and enlarge the shower and split the vanities into ‘his & hers.’ They created a focal wall with sweet floral wallpaper and a new freestanding tub under the window.
The Role of Crossville’s State of Grace Porcelain Tile in the Bathroom Design
To help draw the eye to the focal wall, the team chose to install Crossville’s State of Grace porcelain tile collection on the floor leading up to the freestanding tub in the 12” x 24” size in a herringbone pattern* The large tiles provide a clean and modern look, with the installation pattern providing directionality. The team also selected State of Grace in 3″ x 6″ for the shower walls in a standard subway pattern. The look is gorgeous, and the porcelain surface is so much easier to clean and maintain than other materials.

“We love that this line has a variety of shapes and sizes to mix and match,” explained Diane. So much so that the team continued the tile pattern on the shower floor with the State of Grace herringbone mosaic. Diane added, “We have a good relationship with our Denver Crossville supplier. They are always willing to pull samples and place orders promptly.”
With timeless style and traditional form, this beautifully renovated primary bath will provide a welcome and warm respite. The durable porcelain tile will stand the test of time and continue to deliver top performance for years to come.
