Exploring the Biophilia Global Design Trend with Crossville Collections

With the recent launch of our annual Design Trends Look Book, we wanted to dig a little deeper into each of the four global trends and how Crossville tile collections answer these trends in interior environments.
September 21, 2021

Biophilia is a term coined by E.O. Wilson, a famous naturalist, to describe humanity’s desire to commune with other living things in nature. The Bio-Feel-‘Ya design trend reflects that desire to connect with nature by incorporating natural elements throughout the design and removing barriers between interior and exterior spaces.

This trend is manifested through the use of colors and textures found in nature to create materials that mimic what can be found in the natural world. Tiles and other materials with natural greens bring a bit of nature to our increasingly virtual workspaces.

Exposure to nature has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety so relax as you take a look at these tile examples of the Bio-Feel-‘Ya trend.
