CET Experience and FaciliteQ+AI Denver Solution Center
Denver Colorado | September 10, 2022
Introduction
When CET & Associates and FaciliteQ+AI were presented with a unique opportunity to co-create a state-of-the-art solution center in Denver, Colorado, they designed a showroom that would offer commercial and residential workplace interiors from the floor to the ceiling. CET is one of the region’s most successful manufacturers’ representative firms specializing in technology products for luxury residential and commercial clients. FaciliteQ+AI offers a unique approach to designing workplace interiors. Through this collaboration, the design intention was to blend the beauty of commercial construction integrated with technology products into a warm, comfortable, and inviting space.
The Story
The overall design would utilize Falkbuilt digital component construction and the style would need to gear toward a commercial office space that would also accommodate residential technology prospects. It would require a high-end residential look with a focus on AV integration and technology. The focus would be on a neutral palette so the space could also be used for community groups to host events and meetings utilizing the multiple large screens and displays.
Desiring a modern design aesthetic, the team worked with Crossville to develop product selections to ensure product options that met the design intent were available and customizable, especially important with tight construction timelines. In addition to product selection, Crossville recommended installers, making the process seamless.
Searching for a modern wall surface that would coordinate with the sage green Falkbuilt millwork the team chose Crossville Porcelain Tile Panels by Laminam in the Ossido Verderame colorway. The bold, verdigris copper porcelain panels were installed as the backsplash behind the sink and on the walls surrounding the digital displays. The oxidized, weathered-metal look in porcelain blended beautifully with the white of the countertop slabs and the new cabinets. With extremely generous outer dimensions of over 3’ x 9’, these tile panels may be installed with minimal grout lines for a contemporary, uninterrupted look.
Conclusion
Crossville’s prominent role in the new CET and FaciliteQ+AI showroom has earned rave reviews from staff and clients alike. Showcasing commercial construction and technology helps their new clients understand the fabrication process in a warm and inviting setting.
